Data Mining: Scott Raso will speak on Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques for Corporate Auditors. He will describe how to
get the most out of available technology to enable financial/operational auditors to effectively perform their duties to detect inefficient and
ineffective processes, as well as the identification of fraud, waste, and abuse of company resources. The answer can be at your fingertips, by
using well-known data mining techniques, which are part of continuous auditing.
Speaker: Scott Raso is a Director, and leader of the Data Quality and Integrity group of Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Northeast practice.
Scott has over nineteen years of combined financial and operational systems design and consulting, data interrogation, financial auditing, forensic
auditing, and financial reporting experience. He has extensive experience in the design and execution of data analysis techniques for various large
public and private entities in the interest of fraud identification, revenue assurance, expense analysis and control, cost recovery, and data cleansing
and rationalization. Scott’s primary focus at Deloitte & Touche LLP is to aide clients in the assessment of issues and risks associated with their
management, financial and operational systems. Scott is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.
